Jamaican

Out of the blue, I suddenly thought of eating Jamaican pattie. But then it just made me to whine instead.

Why?

Because where the heck I'm going to buy here in the province?

Although SM is here already, but none of my favorite food chain is there.

I really want this. Aaarrgggg!

At Megamall.

Pinatubo and mango shake.

Can someone put a franchise at SM Rosales pleeaaseee?
Just in case someone is reading this. Heehee!

Siko Solution

OK, let's be honest here...

One of the few body parts that we seldom complain because it is dark, rough and dry is no other than the elbow.

Right?

Personally, I agree. With my morena skin, expect that my elbow is more "morena:. LOL

I'm doing online reading when I came to read this article regarding my title. And I know it is worth sharing.

5 Steps to Whiter, Smoother Elbows

STEP 1: SLOUGH IT OFF

Start with dry skin, preferably before taking a bath. Squeeze a dollop of sloughing lotion on your palm and firmly but gently massage onto your elbows. The lotion will lift dry, dull surface cells, allowing quicker absorption of the moisturizer and thus softening those rough spots. Rinse completely with water.

STEP 2: EXFOLIATE

Lightly rub rough elbows with one of the following: a pumice stone, a loofah, a face towel, or the soft side of a foot file. Regular exfoliation will eventually smoothen the area. Never rub excessively or until it reddens; it will aggravate the condition.

STEP 3: LATHER

Bathe with a whitening soap loaded with softening ingredients such as milk, papaya, and/or aloe vera. Do concentrated soaping of elbows and other rough skin patches. Leave on for at least three minutes then rinse with water. This action also increases blood circulation and helps rid of dead skin.

STEP 4: MOISTURIZE

After taking a bath, massage your favorite lotion onto your elbows. Apply generously on extra dry areas such as heels and elbows to replenish lost moisture.

STEP 5: TREAT

The key step: apply a spot treatment cream that's specially formulated to whiten elbows. Apply once more before going to sleep on clean elbows (wash with a mild soap).

Why do we need to work hard to be beautiful? heehee! Needless to say spending bucks for it. Sheeesss...

Hope this could help me and for those who can relate.

Frugal Find: Cute Kiddie Underwear

My kiddo is growing up and she needs to bid goodbye to her old, plain-colored  undies already. She's now into more colorful and girly stuffs. Her undies for example, when we went shopping, she want me to buy her a Dora set of undies. But I find it a tad expensive for 4pcs, it costs more or less than 200Php. So when I visited my favorite shopping center, I looked for similar items.

And I found it just exactly what we saw in the mall. For 4pcs, I only paid 100Php. It is pure cotton and very comfortable plus the cartoon print on them which I know my tot will love, it's indeed a great find!

Vitamin C

As I've said, I don't take vitamins often. But because I'm starting to notice what's going on my body, you know I feel like there's something wrong but afraid to visit a doctor, I thought of taking vitamins AGAIN. I started off by taking Vitamin E and now Vitamin C.

I hate myself for being careless when it comes to health.

Now, I have to do what I suppose to do.

So what are the benefits I could get from taking vitamin C?

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble nutrient that is vital to all creatures. Foods that are especially rich in vitamin C are parsley, broccoli, bell peppers, strawberries, oranges, lemon juice, papaya, cauliflower, kale, mustard greens and Brussels sprouts. Here are seven reasons to include vitamin C in your daily meals:

Immunity
Not only is vitamin C a well-known component of your immune system, it is also necessary for collagen, the main structural protein found in connective tissue. A healthy dose of vitamin C will protect your body from infection and maintain healthy bones and teeth, as well as quicken the body’s ability to repair wounds.

Common Cold
Along with its immune functions that fight against bacteria, viruses, and infection, vitamin C also serves as an affective antihistamine that will lessen the unpleasant effects of the common cold, including inflammation, stuffy nose and aches.

Antioxidant
Vitamin C is a powerful and effective antioxidant that protects our bodies from free radicals that cause oxidative stress. Excessive oxidative stress, or "cellular rust," can lead to a host of severe medical conditions, such as atherosclerosis that can cause both heart disease and stroke, and is associated with many different types of cancer, including lung, mouth, throat, colon, stomach and esophagus. Vitamin C also helps to regenerate your supplies of vitamin E (another useful antioxidant).

Hypertension
Vitamin C has been shown to lower blood pressure, and therefore lessen the probability of hypertension, as well as the serious health problems that follow, such as cardiovascular disease.

Blood Vessels
Along with lowering your blood pressure, vitamin C ensures proper dilation of blood vessels, which can prevents such diseases as atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, congestive heart failure, and angina pectoris (a inadequate supply of blood to the heart that causes severe chest pains).
Lead Toxicity
Vitamin C dramatically lowers your blood lead level. This is especially important for children living in urban areas, as studies have shown that lead toxicity can lead to behavioral and developmental problems, such as learning disabilities and lowered IQ. Adults, moreover, may suffer from kidney damage and high blood pressure.

Cataracts
The lens of the human eye requires vitamin C to function properly, and a deficiency can lead to cataracts (a condition in which the lens becomes increasingly opaque, causing blurry vision). A higher intake of vitamin C has been shown to fight cataracts by increasing the amount of blood flow to the eye. source
Whew! I'm speechless. hehehe! I know it is very important, its just me being lazy. Well, its not too late to be more health conscious now, right?
